Stellar is teaming up with Channel Four for a major new TV pitching event.

After a whole host of entries the results are in and the chosen pitchers have been notified and getting ready to pitch on Monday.


Tickets are now on sale for Pitch Up 2008 at Channel 4.


The top 20 entries will be delivered to the crackerjack panel below.

 

6.30 arrival for 7.00 start.  Each pitcher will get 30 seconds, with around 4-5 mins of feedback. Watch and learn! Free for Stellar member, £5 for non-members. Drinks to follow.

The Panel

George Kay – Head of Factual – Blast Films
George joined Blast! Films in September 2007 and is currently Executive Producing projects for the BBC and Channel 4. Prior to this, in his two years as the Head of Development at Twenty Twenty, he led the team behind commissions such as BAFTA winning "The Choir", BAFTA nominated "Evacuation", "Grandad's Back In Business", "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", "My Boyfriend The Sex Tourist", "Never Did Me Any Harm", "How To Beat Your Kids' Asthma" and "Help Me Love My Baby". He has also worked at Wall to Wall, Ricochet and Shine.

Madeleine Knight - Freelance Development Executive

Madeleine Knight is an Executive Producer at Ten Alps.
As an Executive Producer at Mentorn in 2008 she adapted Dangerous Adventures for Boys from the bestselling book into a history adventure series for Five.
 
Prior to that Madeleine was Head of Factual Development at Princess Productions, developing and then Series Producing original documentaries and formats including Dom Joly’s Happy Hour (Sky One), Excellent Adventures (Sky One), Bump n Grind (Trouble), Back to Reality (Five), Model Behaviour (C4), and We Are Detectives (C4 and NBC). She developed cross-platform music show Mobile Act Unsigned (C4)
and set up the company’s new media division with online commissions for C4 and BBCi.

Sarah Edwards – Head of Entertainment Development – Talkback Thames
 Sarah Edwards is the Head of Entertainment Development at Talkback Thames, home of smash hits such as ‘X-Factor’, ‘Britain's Got Talent' and BBC One’s latest Saturday teatime ratings grabber ‘Hole In The Wall’.

Formerly she was head of development at 12 Yard productions, developing successful formats such as ‘In It To Win It’, ‘Eggheads’ and the International Emmy-winning ‘Without Prejudice’.

 Sarah was also head of entertainment development at the BBC during the corporation’s most prolific recent period, developing shows such as 'The Weakest Link', 'Jet Set' and 'Friends Like These’.
